An Update For 2021
So, I just lost an entire first draft of this update journal. Let's see what I can remember. u__u
I haven't made a journal since 2019, so I should remedy that before it turns 2022! I log on every day, but I'm quite reserved since the userbase is so different now...
2020 and 2021 haven't been all that great, for what I hope are obvious reasons, but I did graduate from my Master's Degree and recently started learning how to drive.
It's been hard to get inspired, but I've been pushing out what I can. Notably, I started Custard Cove, a Tumblr blog where I take questions and post about my OCs. It's not much, but it's a fun space for me to play with concepts that might not be polished enough for DeviantArt.
I HAVE NOT written off work on Team Bronze or Inkless, however I don't see myself working on them anytime soon either. I have other projects to procrastinate on. =u=
Team Bronze may get a written conclusion or a drawn-up comic (less likely) as using official Pokémon sprites doesn't sit well with me anymore. I love the visual style, but I'm not sure how creative I am when putting together premade assets.
Inkless just needs to be finished. I'm surprised how much attention it gets, given that I wrote it so long ago and it's about Splatoon One, but it deserves completion.
Aaand there isn't much else I can think to update on? Games-wise I've been playing a whole variety of titles, including AC:NL, Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon White 2, and like 5 different Harvest Moon games. (I also have a HM fanblog now.) I'm just trying to keep my own attention, you know?!

A Journal?
I'm still active here, I come on every day, I just don't have much art that I feel is worth posting. I finally figured how to get my scanner to work properly again though, (thanks dad,) so maaaybe I'll post some older things?

A lot has happened since my last journal in 2018, so I'll try to get you all up to speed:
I'll start with the bad news. My dog died shortly after I graduated, and it wasn't very long ago that a family member also passed away. This was quite a shock, but don't worry - I have a lot of support from my family (and I hope to support them, too). My stomach/cough/illness thing is also still an issue, but I'm taking medicine for it.
It's not all bad news, though!
I started my Master's Degree in Creative Writing - something I've always wanted! I'm hoping that'll mean I'll get to post more original work here, though I might want to keep it stored away for publication too, heehee. Speaking of publication, I'm going to have my name on the front of a book! That's kind of a big deal! I had a hand in editing an anthology (collection of poems and stories) for the university, and it'll be printed real soon. It's very exciting! Trust me! My work's in there too!
As for gaming news, I got SUPER INTO Minecraft and Minecraft Story Mode recently, as well as having played a ton of other games over the year (naturally this includes Splatoon 2). Something I've been working on for the past few months was actually replaying Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, because it's a rather slow game and I don't think I exhausted its potential before. I'm finally getting somewhere - year 2, married to Soseki - but I've slowed down a bit.
Where new games are concerned, I'm looking forward to Animal Crossing Switch, Link's Awakening, and the next Pokemon game. There's SO much coming out soon... Oh, and you KNOW I bought Banjo and Kazooie the moment they were available for Smash Bros.
I think that's all I've got to say for now - except that I'm still running my Splatoon blogs, ey?
I actually have two now: [Splattales] and [Octowussabi] !
They're probably coming to a pause in their lifespan, but I still have a lot of content planned. And uh, those of you pining away for the next chapter of Inkless...I still intend to write it! I've just got lots of other projects to work on and don't have a lot of drive. I'm hoping I'll be able to complete the whole thing and then stagger the posting, so you only have to wait 300+ years for all the chapters instead of 300+ years between each chapter. Yeah?
Um, I'm still making Team Bronze too, but it's a similar issue.
BUT I WON'T GIVE UP.
Oh. I've also developed an addiction to flavoured milk. ... I suppose there are worse things?

Graduated!
I passed my BA in English and Writing with First Class Honours.
Next steps? I'm going to be doing a Master's Degree in Creative Writing! So that's two more years of education.
...also, I turned 21 since my last journal? Oops, it's been awhile since I posted one, then! >w>;
To try and think back on what I've been doing games-wise, I recently bought and completed the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2. My verdict? I'd really recommend it! It's everything we (or at least I) really wanted from Splatoon 2's singleplayer campaign . . . although costs an extra £20. =w=;
Without spoiling the story, I can at least tell you that DJ Octavio ISN'T the final boss again, and it plays with nostalgia like a dog with a chew toy, be it for my actual childhood or simply memories of three years ago. The new stuff it incorporates is also done really well, but it's important to know that this DLC is also migraine-inducingly hard.
It's doable, sure, and for the most part rewarding

I'm back at University now the holidays are over. Not that I mentioned holidays started?
It's been full of work as usual, but I've managed to stick to my goal of writing a little work every day, even if I do flub sometimes. >w>;
The Splatoon fanfic definitely won't be posted immediately anytime soon, but I am still working on it- I'm just like, working on three other things, too.

It's not going to have any real spoilers to the ending of the Splat 1 fic, but it takes place a few years after. It also has a focus on a few other characters, though it's early days so I haven't got much down yet. ^^
What's really been bothering me at the moment are complications with my health.
I don't know if I told any of you, but I had a cough for about 3 years- and we finally figured out that it's something to do with my stomach.
I've been trying to eat better, but it's quite difficult since I don't know exactly what causes the acid flare-ups. I'm hoping it'll be sorted out sooner or later.
On a brighter note, my 21st Birthday is coming up next month!! I've asked for a new tablet, so ideally I'll post more art if it's easier to draw with?
Just an estimate, though, I'm maybe trying to do too much at once, huh? . . . XwX
Still, we're gonna go out to a fancy place and I'm gonna wear a nice dress, so that's set up for greatness already.
